I really should update the blog more often!
The skies are finally getting dark enough to do some astrophotography. Just need the weather to co-operate now. During a couple of brief clear spells I managed to get a widefield shot of the Milky Way running through the Summer Triangle:
The following night the sky cleared just long enough for me to capture the North America Nebula (NGC 7000) in Cygnus. Could've done with more time to collect more light but happy with the result nontheless.
Finally, the partial lunar eclipse wasn't entirely clouded out in July and I managed to get some half decent shots with the camera with and without the telescope. Here are a few of the best. Use the arrows to navigate on Instagram.
